Itinerary

A Sardinia Blue Zone tour is more than a trip. It is a return to a slower, deeper way of life. Over five days, we step into one of the world’s rare longevity regions, where living well into your 90s and beyond is part of everyday life.

After a warm welcome, we discover the principles behind Sardinian longevity. We then share a hands-on fresh pasta workshop with a local nonna in her nineties and sit down to a traditional centenarian-inspired dinner.

The following day, we explore the mountains of inland Sardinia on a 4×4 tour, connect with nature and taste local food traditions. We also hear the voices of the UNESCO-recognised Sardinian tenores singing and join traditional dances.

Our journey continues with a full day alongside a local shepherd. We learn traditional cheese-making, share a homemade lunch and experience the authentic mountain lifestyle that has shaped generations of Sardinians.

On the final day, we visit Nuoro, the birthplace of Nobel Prize-winning writer Grazia Deledda. There we reflect on the simplicity, resilience, community spirit and deep connection to nature that have long defined life in Sardinia’s Blue Zone.

A unique immersion into the culture, traditions and daily habits of one of the world’s longest-living communities.

DAY BY DAY

Arrive in Sardinia and settle into your accommodation in the heart of the island’s Blue Zone. In the evening, we gather for a warm welcome and an introduction to the journey ahead. We discover the principles behind Sardinian longevity: the daily habits, food, movement and sense of community that shape life here. The evening ends with a relaxed dinner together.

Today is about hands and tradition. In a hands-on workshop with a local nonna in her nineties, we learn how fresh Sardinian pasta is made and shaped, as it has been for generations. We then sit down together to a traditional centenarian-inspired dinner, built on the simple, local ingredients of the Blue Zone table.

We head into the mountains of inland Sardinia on a 4×4 tour, far from the coast and close to nature. Along the way, we take part in a small workshop on Sardinian wild herbs, discovering the plants that grow here and how the island’s elders have traditionally used them. Lunch becomes a true mountain feast, a celebration as it has been held here for generations. Food is cooked by the shepherds around the open fireplace, and we share it together to the sound of the UNESCO-recognised Sardinian tenores, with traditional singing and dancing.

We spend the whole day alongside a local shepherd. We learn traditional cheese-making, share a homemade lunch and experience the authentic mountain lifestyle that has shaped generations of Sardinians.

On the final day, we visit the birthplace of Nobel Prize-winning writer Grazia Deledda, in Nuoro. Through her land and her words, we reflect on the simplicity, resilience, community spirit and deep connection to nature that have long defined life in Sardinia’s Blue Zone, and on what we can bring home with us. Then we say our goodbyes.
